Notes

Grease well the insides of 12 English muffin rings and place on greased cookie sheet. Whisk dry ingredients together in a small bowl and set aside. Add honey or sugar to water and stir in the yeast. Set aside to let yeast proof. Using electric mixer, mix eggs, vinegar and butter in mixing bowl. Add the yeast mixture and blend. Slowly add the flour mixture in a little at a time and beat until smooth. Spoon into the prepared rings. Cover and let rise in a warm place until the batter doubles in size (about a half hour). Place in preheated 375°F oven and bake for 18-20 minutes, or until browned lightly and pulled slightly from the ring edges. Remove the rings while still warm. You can also scoop this into greased muffin tins if you don't have the rings for rolls. These are a good tasting, very yummy bun that works well for sandwiches. I love them hot out of the oven with a little butter. They freeze well. Makes 12 crumpets.
